It was almost nine o’clock, time for Andrea’s mother to arrive home. William didn’t want to wake her up, neither to leave her alone, Andrea had been working on her reportage about the Holiday events the entire afternoon, writing and writing in her laptop.

He heard the car parking outside and the ringing of keys, tinkling one onto each other. William walked towards the door and opened it for Mrs. Green, which blue eyes, the same as her daughter’s, extended into a wide surprise to see the tall and sympathetic boy at those hours in the house.

“William! Is Andy okay?” She asked worried.

“Yes she is, don’t worry. She fell asleep recently and I, um, didn’t want to awake her” William said, scratching the back of his head without knowing what to say next.

Mrs. Green smiled and touched his cheek. “Thank you William, you’re such a sugar with my Andy” She said, making William shrug into shyness, which was strange in his behavior and general dictionary.

“Every time I get home I watch her sleeping in the couch so many times that I think that it is already her bed” Mrs. Green said, putting her purse in the first step.

“I could, take her upstairs, if you allow me to” William chuckled, wandering around his thoughts and why in Earth he would say that.

Mrs. Green smiled. It wasn’t because of his gesture, Mrs. Green knew of William’s true feelings against Andrea, and she was pretty sure of the concrete idea that Andrea was returning back the sentiments, though in an oblivious way that she, herself, does not even know, yet.

“Of course, William” She nodded.

He positioned in front of the sleeping Andrea to figure out how to carry her way up to her bedroom. First, took the laptop and put it on the other couch and started to grab gently from beneath her neck to her right shoulder and later, from under her knees.

Andrea was deeply asleep, the stressing job of being one of the most privileged writers had been showing its effects, and even her fingers were tired for the unstoppable typing that seemed to burst into flames for the supernatural rapidness and excellent keyboard orientation.

Making the way up, walking towards the second door, William achieved his brave decision. He felt his knees trembling, along with his arms while carrying her, with the fear of Andrea waking up and make the scene slightly uncomfortable for both. But none of the many things that crossed his mind happened; he just put her slowly in her bed and took advantage to kiss her warm cheek as a replacement for a respective goodnight-kiss.

“Goodnight Mrs. Green” William softly said.

She patted the boy’s back and watched him walk in a slow pace, tucking his hands into his pockets due to the cold wind blowing snowflakes. He sighed watching every step he was taking over the pavement. William felt a bursting happiness, but the journey of the day had been tiring that held the joy inside.

For running behind Dylan, with her keys and phone, Mr. Harrison the coach, made William run twenty laps around the football field. Although it was a good excuse to fail Algebra whilst he was recovering from a terrible cramp on his right leg when running the eighth lap.

“But today was awesome” He said, opening the front door from his house.

“What? Didn’t you remember I was passing by? I’ll go if you want to” Matthew said with a smirk on his face.

Dylan scoffed and shook her head. “You can stay. But we can’t go into the house, I lost the keys” She said, self-pitying.

“Hmmm, I’ve heard that there is a beautiful park in here, even more charming with the snow. Would you like to show me? Because no one has been that nice to invite a mad English guy there” He said, bowing his right arm in the air.

Dylan smiled and felt that nervousness fading away as she said yes and headed with Matthew into the St. Jude Park, in the center of the town, which was pretty close from her house.

“Um, forgive me for watching your buttocks but, I don’t know if you feel a cool breeze over there” He said, holding his laugh for being polite.

Dylan blushed and covered the ripped pants with her hands. “Rough day” She murmured.

Matthew placed his arm over her shoulder and pulled her closer at him where she could admire the shining in his blue diamond eyes that kept her hypnotized for a couple of seconds before she could feel her cheeks burning, not for the snow, instead for her heart beating really fast, sending all the blood to the veins in her cheeks.

“Don’t blush darling. Because you will make me blush” He whispered into her ear, making her shiver for the close encounter.

“Why would I make you blush, Matthew?” Dylan asked in a sarcastic tone.

He smiled and glanced to his right then back at her eyes. “I don’t know if you can recall the several times that you, made me use my reflexes and turn out my eyes off of you when you would look at me” He answered, staring right into her eyes.

Dylan remained speechless, trying to mumble just a small word, or a simple yes. But she could not verbalize anything; her nervous system had broken down. Matthew pecked her lower lip and she continued with a complete kiss.

“God, you and your lips are incredibly sweet, Dylan” He muttered, rubbing his nose against hers.

She smiled. There was nothing sweeter than that boy speaking out words like those. She bit her lip and opened her eyes, glimpsing the wild and vivid ocean right from Matthew’s eyes. Nothing else could be said, she was starting to fall in love forgetting about everyone else.

Forgetting about the else.
